August 17, 2011

Photos by Dmitri Moisseev and James Park.

This week, we present to you one of our most colourful photo essays to date, showcasing fashion choices and creativity at a recent anime convention in Montreal.

Otakuthon is Quebec’s largest anime convention and the second largest of its kind in Canada.

The event, which attracts thousands of attendees from Canada and around the world, offers a wide range of attractions and programming, including a masquerade, a fashion show, a selection of vendors, discussion panels, workshops, gameshow-style contests, anime video screenings, dances, karaoke and even music concerts.

Guests were clad in diverse costumes – be they princess-like, futuristic or very avant-garde.
